Hi, I’m Ami... and I launched Find Your Sunday to create a place that reminded me of home. Not in a flawless, fancy foyer kind of way. But in the way where the porch light is always welcoming, the fridge is open for all, there’s always something cooking on the stove, and someone truly cares about how your week has been.

I’m passionate about people, places, and things — a genuine lover of "nouns." I’ve always been intrigued by the stories that objects hold. Here, we'll refer to that as the Sunday state of mind not slow, just for the sake of it, but purposeful. Present. Anchored in simply what... matters.
Why I Started Sunday Market Co.
I genuinely love figuring out how things work. Honestly, that's one of the toughest things to let go of as a Christian — the desire to know. But that’s also why a good story resonates differently. That type of story? The “why not”? I want to hear about the struggle, the turning point, the inspiration. That captivates me every time.
We live in an era where we're told we discard everything instead of repairing it. But maybe it's simply because we're surrounded by too many things that lack meaning. I wanted to create a space where the things we keep… matter.

I Made This Blog For People Who...
Keep the handwritten note that came with a gift
Still stop at roadside stands for boiled peanuts or local peaches
Have favorite aisles in their town’s little general store
Ask, “Who made this?” before buying something
Think a chipped mug is still beautiful
Love a good flea market just as much as a good memory
Believe in small shops, real people, and honest stories
And maybe… also just love writing things down, even if no one’s reading
A Few Things About Me
I grew up loving a good market detour and a road trip. From Ft. Lauderdale to Slidell (the real LA) to Chattanooga (TN), I usually traveled with my dad, who somehow knew the best spots from here to Germany (and he’ll happily tell you about them).
That’s probably why Wildwood, NJ, is still our beach of choice. There’s something about that stretch of highway, the backroad signs for antiques and peaches, and those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shops that feel like treasure maps. I’ve always loved the kind of trip where the journey matters just as much as the destination — and Wildwood has always delivered both.
My kids are carrying the tradition. We’re locals through and through. Ask them where they want to go? It’s always the town general store. It’s where my son scored throwback $2-a-pack football cards — and yes, it was his best-kept secret.
That’s the Sunday state of mind to me: where the porch light’s always on, the fridge is basically the community bank, people still talk about things, and supper means something.
From Acadiana to Acadia — indeed, there are genuinely two locations where Cajuns might have landed — I've always been drawn to finding places that seem like they've been anticipating your arrival. Maryland, Maine, Mississippi... I've never encountered a map that didn't tempt me to explore it. (But that's a story for another blog...)
And me? I’ve always loved people, places, and things — in every sense of the phrase. Writing just happens to be how I make sense of it all. Whether anyone’s reading or not, it’s how I stay rooted.
